Never mind that people with nowhere to go arenโt just โgoing to leave.โ
Think we might be getting it wrong? Sean Morgan discussed the council โstrategyโ on the radio recently:
โThe police department is gonna keep moving them, and theyโre gonna keep moving them. The stragglers who just came to Chico, which is the great majority of them, because it was convenient and it was easy, and they heard somewhere, โI can get needles and drugs, and healthcare and free camping.โ They are going to go somewhere else. And those are people we canโt help. Is there going to be a little pain when all thatโs happening? Yes, and youโre seeing it and weโll stay on top of it.โ โ Sean Morgan
And if more of the people on our streets die this winter? A collective shrug. They've got golf tournaments to plan.
