Food insecurity affects up to 1 in 4 people in the North State. 1 in 4 children in the community report going hungry, and nearly 50% of Chico State Students also report struggling to purchase food. Many working families find themselves running low on food between paychecks as well. The community fridge creates a very simple way for people to help their neighbors, and for those in need to get food when they need it.
