As we enter the last few weeks until the election, the local right-wing PAC has stepped up their tactics. Whether it's campaign mailers that present outright lies, or seedy placement of their candidate signs in the old Chico Peace and Justice Center location, they are spreading misinformation like wildfire. It certainly helps that the war chest they have amassed from right-wing interests, out-of-towners and developers has exceeded $220,000, more than 4 times the amount raised by any PAC in the last city council election.
We are frantically trying to ensure that the word gets out, but it takes money. If you can afford a last minute donation to help us keep advertising these issues, it will go a long way. We have no paid staff or consultants, so your entire donation goes directly to getting the word out.
