Only 42.5% of us in Butte County have had at least one dose of the vaccine, and only 37.8% are fully vaccinated.
That’s not far above Alabama’s vaccination rate, which is the worst in the country at 33.7%, and where doctors are having to tell dying patients, “I’m sorry, but it’s too late.”
The Delta variant is surging, and it is much more contagious. We’ve already had cases here in Butte County, and overall, the vast majority of COVID-19 cases have been in Chico.
Please make the appointment. Vaccinations are free and widely available.
If you still aren’t sure about getting vaccinated, talk to your doctor. They can answer questions and help you analyze the risks and benefits.
