During the Chico City Council closed session meeting Monday night to discuss the homeless evictions lawsuit against the city, a decision was made to create an Ad Hoc Committee and invite groups of stakeholders to give input and look at potential solutions.
The first of the initial three Ad Hoc Committee meetings is scheduled to take place this evening at 4PM. This meeting will include service providers and three councilmembers - Scott Huber, Andrew Coolidge and Deepika Tandon.
The public will not be able to give input at this time, but you may view the meeting.

Caring Choices in particular has been working on camping/tiny home solutions with an eye towards utilizing the BMX track location. Whether that particular location is in play or not, they already have a well-thought out, detailed plans for creating and managing a site, and are well-positioned to swiftly implement a project.
We hope you will join the call and learn about some of the solutions service providers are ready to implement.
