Video Debuts; Chico Homelessness

Last week, our friends at Respectful Revolution, in partnership with Chico Housing Action Team (CHAT) debuted a movie about some of the folks living in the Comanche Creek Park.

In their own words:

Here's at last the final, final version of our latest film The Online premiere went very well yesterday.

Who's out there on the street? What's their plight? What are their needs? What solutions do they propose? We hope this film will achieve what it is supposed to: allow more people to realize how diverse a population exist behind this "on-size-fits-none" adjective-turned-noun-turned-slur-really: "homeless"; and what we collectively can do to help.

Respectful Revolution has produced a stunning body of work, a lot of which addresses issues with homelessness and solutions in our city. Please take an hour this weekend and watch the new movie; it will be well worth your time.

And if you’re inspired after seeing their work, you can find many ways to support them here.

We also created a short video to educate folks about how we got here and what the impacts have been on the community. We hope you’ll take a few minutes to check it out and share with those who may be interested or unaware about what has been going on in our city.
